A ‘20-man brawl’ erupted in Bury town centre in the early hours of this morning, witnesses have said.
Reports of the fight involving men in their 20s broke out in Bolton Street at around 5am today.
It is believed a row started in a takeaway then spilled out onto a street in a ‘scuffle’ where the men could be heard shouting ‘come on then’, according to reports.

One witness said: “One of them was holding a plank of wood. They were all trying to fight each other."
The passer-by then saw 'a guy drop to the floor'. "He was bleeding everywhere. I’m pretty sure he got stabbed," they said.
At least five police cars raced to the scene after the man collapsed. The victim’s condition is unknown.
Speaking to the M.E.N, a business owner said: “This would be the third stabbing in the area in just three months.
"I don’t know what’s going on, it doesn’t feel safe anymore.
“I was here this morning and I couldn’t open my shop, just now they’ve let me. I haven’t sold a single thing.”
Another local business owner said: “We came here in the morning and police said I couldn’t open my shop, we’ve only just opened now. All I’ve heard is that someone was stabbed outside the Tiger [The Blind Tiger.]”
Another resident said that it 'never used to be like this' and 'you would have never thought of something like this happening' a year ago.
Police cordoned off Bolton Street from 6am as they conducted their enquiries. Side streets were also taped off as officers combed the area.
The precise nature of the incident has not yet been confirmed. Greater Manchester Police and the North West Ambulance Service have been approached for comment.
