Here’s your first look at Christian Bale’s suited-up as Frankenstein in actress-turned-filmmaker Maggie Gyllenhaal’s take on the classic monster with The Bride, her forthcoming feature at Warner Bros.

Zack Sharf Digital News Director Christian Bale is Frankenstein’s monster in a first look at Maggie Gyllenhaal’s “The Bride.” The director, who is teaming up with Warner Bros. for the period film, shared images on Instagram from a recent camera test for the movie. Bale’s monster makes his debut alongside Gyllenhaal’s “The Lost Daughter” Oscar nominee Jessie Buckley as the eponymous bride.

Ali Louis Bourzgui is currently winning over audiences with his performance as Tommy in the new hit revival of The Who’s Tommy.

It should be noted, though, that those numbers do not include the episode that aired on March 29.

Sterlin Harjo‘s FX pilot The Sensitive Kind has added 8 actors to star alongside executive producer and lead Ethan Hawke.

Ethan Shanfeld Alex Russell, whose writing credits include FX’s “Dave” and “The Bear” and Netflix’s “Beef,” is making his directorial debut with the upcoming thriller “Lurker,” starring and Théodore Pellerin (“Never Rarely Sometimes Always”) and Archie Madekwe (“Saltburn”). Havana Rose Liu, Sunny Suljic, Daniel Zolghadri and Zack Fox round out the cast of “Lurker,” which follows a retail employee (Pellerin) who infiltrates the inner circle of an artist on the verge of stardom (Madekwe).

Ricky Martin is making his acting comeback in “Palm Royale,” now streaming on Apple TV. The series, produced and starring Kristen Wiig, follows Maxine Simmons (Wiig), a woman who tries to break into Palm Royale’s elite. Martin plays Robert Diaz, a bartender and caretaker who lives in the pool house.

Murtada Elfadl In “The Black Garden,” Armenian French first time filmmaker Alexis Pazoumian manages to portray his ancestral homeland with such sensitivity you’d think incorrectly that he lived there most of his life. Using the framework of three years in the life of three generations of Armenian men, Pazoumian sensitively captures the political conflicts, the social milieu and the geographical terrain of a small village on the border of Armenia and Azerbaijan. The village is Talish, located in the Armenian region of Nagorno-Karabakh and over the years its inhabitants have seen a lot of strife.

Maggie Rogers has shared a new single called ‘So Sick Of Dreaming’ – you can listen to it below.The laid-back, soft rock song serves as the second preview of Rogers’ third album ‘Don’t Forget Me’, which is due for release on April 12 via Polydor (pre-order here). She dropped the title track from the record last month.“So you think you’re on the right track/ Cruising on the bridge in your grey Cadillac/ You think it’s easy/ Walking on the water like there’s steppin’ stones,” Rogers sings in the first verse.Later, she tells the listener that her “heart’s breakin’” before adding: “Oh, there ain’t no diamond ring you could buy me to take me home.” Rogers goes on to deliver a spoken word passage in the bridge, in which she complains about her partner cancelling on her at the last minute.“So he calls me up 15 minutes before the reservation/ And says he’s got Knicks tickets instead/ I mean, I was at the restaurant,” she says.
