Married At First Sight UK bride Sophie Brown has hit out at the E4 show, claiming that "wholesome" parts of her wedding were cut from the final edit. Sophie, 26, married carpenter Johnathan Wileman, 32, on the hit series and after watching their wedding day back at home, she said that a "completely different wedding" was shown to viewers.
She took to Instagram to criticise the final edit of the episode and said that a "perfect wedding day" had been shown to be "negative". "Hey everyone! You can imagine my surprise when I sat down to watch MAFS with my friends and family and a completely different wedding day was shown!! Well, that's what it felt like," the 26 year old wrote on her Instagram Stories.
Sophie went on to explain that she had a "few points to make" and detailed her issues with the episode and how her and Johnathan's nuptials were portrayed. She said: "I'm not going to watch it back so don't have the exact wording but we were nattering for about an hour getting to know each other while having pics and an instagram comment was made.
"I was talking about where I live and city life in Manchester and how there's a lot of guys there who are instagram/ influencer types and it's not the type of guy I'm interested in, so that's entirely different than what was shown, it's the opposite of what I was looking for!" She then criticised how she was portrayed as "materialistic" and said all of the "wholesome parts" had been taken out of her back story. Never miss a celebrity exclusive again! Become an OK!
