Married At First Sight UK's Kwame Badu has defended his decision to ban wife Kasia from his house on the homestay part of the love experiment. Usually the couples - who are put together by love experts - go to each other's houses to get to know each other, but Kwame, 42, shocked Kasia, 36, and fans of the show after refusing to allow her or the cameras inside his home.
Instead, he and Kasia walked around his local park, as he told his confused wife that he is "private" and "secretive", and said he didn't "feel comfortable" with taking her to his home while on the show, prompting fans to go wild as they speculated as to why. Now, he's opened up about his decision to ban Kasia from his house in a fan Q&A on Instagram, as he insisted that he wanted to "protect" his home which he lives in with his two daughters.
A fan asked: "What is the real reason you wouldn't let k into your home?" Kwame didn't hold back as he replied: "Because I wanted to protect the home my kids live in with me. "But I made it clear numerous times to Kasia that I am happy to book an Uber at time of filming while we are jamming and go to my yard privately as in her and I but not cameras showing my road my living room bedroom that's too much for me." He continued: "I also kept my kids off the show too and all this was fully understood prior to filming by production and K [Kasia] but that explanation didn't make the edits.
"Private and secretive was to the world not to my wife but context is a cold steak with no flavour." Prior to his explanation, fan theories were flying around on Twitter as to his secrecy, with some even suggesting he already has a wife at home. "Kwame can't bring Kasia home because he told his (first) wife he's away for work," one fan
