Married at First Sight UK viewers were left fuming on Tuesday 18 October evening after the second reunion episode from this year’s series failed to address one key detail in Kasia and Kwame’s relationship. During their final ever sit down with the show’s panel of experts, Kasia Martin and Kwame Badu came face to face for the first time since deciding to abandon their marriage after failing to see eye to eye.
In a short conversation, Kwame reluctantly apologised to Kasia for how he made her feel after she branded one of the failings of their relationship to be a complete “lack of respect” particularly surrounding their Home Stays. “I know you don’t want to hear it, but I did nothing but praise you not only as a queen, but as a business owner, as a black woman – but most importantly as a mother,” argued Kwame.
He continued: “And when I came to visit you at your home, something I repeatedly said was how proud I was of you, of what you’ve achieved. So me saying what I said, I’m sorry if I offended you, I apologise for that 100 per cent.” However, this still wasn’t enough for Kasia, who felt the apology was half-hearted, as she responded: “I’ll say thank you, because you said some nice things, but you’re good at doing that.
But sometimes those things aren’t put into practice, certain things I just can’t tolerate.” In a move to shift the conversation, the experts then asked Kwame if there was a moment when he knew he had truly fallen for his wife, to which he replied: “Absolutely. When we went away together, the whole thing that we were working on, that was coming to fruition.” Paul then posed the same question to Kasia: “Was there a point when you felt like you were falling for Kwame?” To which she bluntly responded: “No.
