Carlos Santana has made his return to the stage.The legendary guitarist performed on stage at a concert in Connecticut on Friday, more than a month after he collapsed on stage during a show in Clarkston, Michigan, and was hospitalized for exhaustion.Before his show in Connecticut on Friday, a smiling Santana was spotted leaving a hotel in New York City where he chatted with photographers before getting into his limo.After his frightening health scare on July 5, the 75-year-old musician announced that he had to postpone six additional shows on his Miraculous Supernatural 2022 tour.The news of the postponed shows came just minutes before he was set to take the stage with Earth, Wind & Fire at the Ruoff Music Center in Noblesville.According to the , a «collective groan» among the 20,000 fans was heard when the news of the postponement was read on stage.The musician is currently on his summer-long Miraculous Supernatural 2022 Tour, alongside Earth, Wind & Fire. The tour launched on June 17 and is scheduled to go through August.

Legendary musician Carlos Santana is back to business as usual, after a scary collapse last month at one of his concerts.  While performing in Michigan on July 5, Santana fell on stage. He was treated by medics after passing out, and was eventually removed, but not before waving to a crowd of fans, according to FOX 2 Detroit and fan video. Santana, 75, was reportedly affected by the extreme heat in Michigan.

Madonna held a roller disco last night (August 10) in New York City, in celebration of her upcoming compilation album, ‘Finally Enough Love: 50 Number Ones’.The album, which arrives next (August 19), was celebrated at DiscOasis Central Park in NYC. At the event, Madonna reunited with Nile Rogers and spoke about the time they made ‘Like A Virgin’ together.Questlove served as a DJ at the event, playing Madonna hits alongside disco classics all night, while fans danced and skated in Central Park.Madonna first announced the project back in May – a new compilation celebrating the singer’s record 50 chart-topping hits on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart.Madonna’s 2019 track ‘I Don’t Search I Find’, which featured on her ‘Madame X’ album, earned the artist her 50th Number One on the Dance Club Songs chart in the US back in February 2020The achievement made Madonna the first and only artist with 50 number ones on any single Billboard chart.A press release said: “In addition to fan favourites, the collection also includes a selection of rare remix recordings, with more than 20 being officially released for the first time or making their commercial/digital debut.”The collection will be available digitally on August 19, along with a 3-CD version.

Lamont Dozier, legendary Motown songwriter and producer, died at age 81 on Monday.  The Detroit-born musician wrote and produced popular hits such as "You Can’t Hurry Love" and "Heat Wave" while collaborating with his brothers Brian and Eddie Holland in the 1960s.The Holland-Dozier-Holland team created iconic hits for artists like The Supremes and Marvin Gaye.  Lamont Dozier, legendary Motown songwriter and producer, died at age 81.  (Getty Images) Dozier died "peacefully" Monday at his home near Scottsdale, Arizona, according to a statement issued by his family.The cause of death was not immediately determined. Duke Fakir, a close friend and the last surviving member of the original Four Tops, called Dozier a "beautiful, talented guy" with an uncanny sense of what material worked best for a given group.

The Sandman, Netflix’s series adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s comic book, ended the two-week reign of Virgin River‘s fourth season at the top of the streamer’s weekly rankings for Aug.1-Aug.7. The Sandman drew 69.5 million hours viewed in its first three days of release. That is a solid number for a new series.

At the start of the month, the Atlanta-based festival Music Midtown announced it would not be going forward in September. A reason for the cancellation was not given, though Billboard reported that Georgia's gun laws, which would have permitted firearms to be brought onto the festival grounds, led to organizers nixing the show. In a new interview with Billboard, Phillip Evans, the gun activist and blogger who threatened the lawsuit against Music Midtown, says he wants to "challenge" Live Nation's weapons policy banning guns inside Georgia amphitheaters.
