Frank Rizzo Get thee to Arden — or at least to the Arden depicted in the glorious, delightful and big-hearted musical adaptation of Shakespeare’s “As You Like It,” created as part of the Public Theater’s Public Works program and now playing at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park. (The run ends Sept. 11, but here’s hoping it will find future life.) This Arden, as envisioned in Shaina Taub and Laurie Woolery’s just-the-essentials, 95-minute adaptation, is a place of refuge, generosity, joy, growth and forgiveness — but most of all, of transformational love. After all, it ends with a quadruple wedding ceremony. It’s also a well-populated place, featuring two alternating casts of 80. The diverse, all-ages ensemble comes from all five of New York City’s boroughs and even includes athletes from the Bronx Wrestling Federation, an inspired addition to the Bard’s grappling scene.

Suede have shared Autofiction, a new short film to accompany their forthcoming album of the same name – you can watch it below.The five-piece will release their new studio LP on September 16 via BMG, marking their first album release since 2018’s ‘The Blue Hour’.As the build-up to the arrival of ‘Autofiction’ continues, Suede have now shared an 18-minute film to accompany the record.Directed and written by Katie Lambert, the film stars Noah Granville and Hannah Higton as “two protagonists at a pivotal emotional crossroads” and features the Suede songs ‘She Still Leads Me On’ and ‘15 Again’.“The production explores the complexities of memory, the perceived truth, communication and anxiety in human relationships,” a press release about the Autofiction film adds. “Themes at the core of Suede’s new album ‘Autofiction’, which, as its title suggests, is one of Brett Anderson’s most personal records yet.”Writer/director Lambert said of the film: “Autofiction is about that moment in a relationship when it’s crunch time.

Turning a young 64, Madonna and her posse escaped to Sicily, Italy, to celebrate the birthday of the original "Material Girl." The singer shared a striking look at her vacation with her pals on her Instagram, where she intensely kisses two women: artist MissMe and Maha Dakhil Jackson. Madonna is living it up in Italy! The pop icon and her son Rocco Ritchie’s birthday is days apart, and it looks like they jetted to Sicily for a double birthday celebration. On Monday, Madonna shared a gallery of photos from their beautiful dinner, and they were all smiles.

It was double celebrations for Madonna and her family as they jetted off to Sicily for two family birthdays.The musician, 64, is in Italy for celebrations of her own birthday on 16 August but also had the chance to celebrate son Rocco turning 22 earlier in the month. The family are currently residing in the stunning Palazzo Castelluccio, a 18th-century Sicilian palace and according to reports, the Queen of Pop will be spending “tens of thousands” on her own birthday. Before those celebrations, Madonna celebrated Rocco - who she shares with ex Guy Ritchie - with a lavish affair including an unusual briefcase style cake.

K-pop sensations BLACKPINK have shared the release date of their sophomore LP. BORN PINK, the South Korean girl group’s follow-up to their 2020 studio debut, THE ALBUM, will arrive September 16, and its first single, “Pink Venom,” is due out next Friday, August 19.

JYP Entertainment, the agency behind K-pop acts TWICE, ITZY, Stray Kids and more, plans to begin releasing digital-only albums in an effort to reduce its environmental impact.This is according to the agency’s 2021 ESG (environmental, social, and governance) Report, released earlier this month. In it, JYP Entertainment says that the company is currently looking into reducing waste associated with physical album purchases by digitally distributing songs, behind-the-scenes content, lyric and photo books instead.Fans purchasing albums from the agency in the future will only receive physical photo cards while being granted access to all other included material through QR codes and NFCs.
