Lourdes Leon, released her debut musical single Wednesday — following in the footsteps of her pop queen mom with a synth-heavy dance party anthem. The 25-year-old songstress dropped the dreamy, trip-hop tune “Lock&Key” under the stage name Lolahol, along with a steamy music video set in spots around New York City.In the video, the singer is seen writhing on the hood of an SUV, striking a pose in sparkly silver nipple pasties and rubbing the chest of a clean-cut beefcake in a cemetery.Near the end, she’s shown doing splits on a beach while wearing only a tangle of ropes and a fishing net around her waist.Leon, who is also a model, has previously said she has no interest in the music industry because it’s too much like her “Vogue” superstar mother’s career path.“As for music, I can sing. I just don’t care about it.
Maybe it’s too close to home,” she told Interview magazine last year. But she apparently changed her tune, teaming up on the song with the experimental artist Eartheater and composer Samuel Burgess. Leon, who is Madonna’s daughter with Cuban-born dancer and fitness trainer Carlos Leon, also told the magazine at the time she was more drawn to dance than music.“I dance, I have a very specific sense of style, and I’m interested in aesthetics, so I like to incorporate all those parts of myself into my projects,” she said. “I want to create a world in which models have more agency over what they’re doing, and they’re not just silent clothing racks. That’s the age that we’re coming into in the fashion world: models as personalities and artists,” she said.

Madonna‘s daughter Lourdes Leon is making her musical debut!
Lourdes Leon, the 25-year-old daughter of pop icon Madonna, is making her own music. The songstress — under the stage moniker Lolahol — dropped her debut single, «Lock&Key,» on Wednesday.Leon released the quasi-ethereal club track along with a neo-goth music video featuring the songstress taking viewers on a dark, surreal odyssey across New York. The video presents a rich visual tapestry evoking complex philosophies over the nature of mortality and Leon sings among the mausoleums and tombs in an old cemetery, while also introducing elements of urban fantasy as she seemingly transforms into a water nymph frolicking in the breaking waves of Atlantic. With images of a scantily clad Leon driving around in an luxury car while physically covered with sparkling gems juxtaposed and intercut with images of her in graveyards and being driven around my a man in a skull mask, the video raises questions about the age-old debate over materialism and the intangibility of material things. After all, you can't take it with you, as they say. Also, Leon dances through pink-and-purple organza curtains while singing to a thumping beat, so it works on multiple levels.Leon, as Lolahol, released the new track under her own Chemical X label, and was produced by Eartheater, who also directed the video.Leon recently talked about her life as Madonna's daughter while speaking with Debi Mazar for last October. The topic came up when Mazer, a longtime friend of the 63-year-old singer, mentioned that Leon opted to pay for college and her apartment on her own.«We don’t get any handouts in my family.

Another scene shows the singer driving around the city and later arriving at a cemetery.Lourdes can be seen dancing and singing at the beach, seemingly arriving from a spaceship, in the video directed by Eartheater and created by Moshpxt via her label Chemical X.It’s still unclear if Lourdes will be pursuing her passion for music in the years to come, however she is now breaking into the music industry with her own unique sound.“Honestly, actors really annoy me and I can’t be around them.
