Erich Bergen will be back on Broadway this summer!
The Madam Secretary actor will be playing the iconic role of Billy Flynn in the long-running musical Chicago.
Erich is no stranger to Broadway after playing Dr. Pomatter during multiple stints in the musical Waitress. He also starred in the film version of the Tony-winning musical Jersey Boys.
Chicago is currently celebrating its 25th year on Broadway and Erich will be joining the cast on August 1 for a limited run through September 11.
Erich jokingly wrote on Instagram, “I was told I was playing Roxie but I can work with this. #broadway.” Ana Villafane, who played Roxie during Chicago‘s return to Broadway last year, commented, “I’d pay big $$ for ur Roxie but if I don’t get a bootleg of ur Billy — we’re finished.”

The Collaboration, Anthony McCarten’s hit London play about artists Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat, will make its American premiere on Broadway this winter, with Paul Bettany and Jeremy Pope as the two painters.
Almost Famous, the stage musical based on Cameron Crowe’s 2000 film, will begin previews at Broadway’s Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre on Oct. 3, ahead of a Nov. 3 opening night.
