Lupita Nyong’o is at a wedding in Pakistan this weekend and she wore two looks by an emerging designer!
The Oscar-winning actress shared photos of herself wearing two designs by danarys New York, a new fashion brand launched by up-and-coming designer Natasha Das. The brand’s inaugural fashion show just happened last year.
Lupita is at the wedding of designer Misha Japanwala and outdoor guide/writer Fisher Neal.
She wrote on Instagram, “Guilded for the Nikkah (Islamic law marriage). @huntingactor and @mishajapanwala’s story is a reminder that LOVE KNOWS NO CULTURAL OR RELIGIOUS BOUNDARIES. #ThanksTinder.”
In her second post, Lupita wrote, “The future is in the skies. #desidiary continued. Wedding Reception.”
Lupita‘s first look was the danarys New York Sourya Salwar Kameez, a custom 100% silk brocade jacket and trouser. Her second look was the danarys New York “Pell” ostrich one-shoulder sari dress made from 6-ply periwinkle crepe silk and ethically sourced ostrich feathers.

The film was selected for SXSW’s narrative feature competition in 2020 before the spread of the coronavirus pandemic forced the festival’s cancelation.
