Ludacris’ manager Chaka Zulu charged with murder in Atlanta shooting

A police K9 and a possible murder suspect are dead after a chase in Georgia ended with a shootout in the woods on Friday. The deadly confrontation began just before noon along River Road near Interstate 285 when Clayton County police spotted a car associated with a murder investigation, Fox 5 Atlanta reported. Georgia State Patrol and the Clayton County Sheriff's Office were called to assist with an attempted stop.

A homeless man who fell, hurt himself and ended up paralyzed while running away from Atlanta police officers is expected to receive a multimillion-dollar payout from the city, which could impact future services, one city leader said.  A jury initially awarded Jerry Blasingame $100 million after he was Tasered and left paralyzed. A federal judge reduced the amount, meaning Blasingame could receive at least a $40 million payout, Fox Atlanta reported.  "This would put a substantial dent in the amount of services that we would be able to provide to citizens across the board," City Councilman Michael Bond told the news outlet.  Blasingame, 69, was panhandling near a freeway when he attempted to run away during the July 10, 2018, encounter with police officers.

Ludacris' manager, Chaka Zulu, has been charged with murder over a restaurant shooting. The music executive - whose real name is Ahmed Obafemi - was charged with murder last week over a restaurant shooting that occurred in June this year, CNN reports. The Atlanta Police Department reported on Friday that on 26 June, officers arrived at an Atlanta restaurant to find three men with gunshot wounds.

Atlanta police charged Zulu with murder, aggravated Assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and simple battery on Tuesday.Zulu turned himself into authorities on Tuesday and was able to post a $200,000 bond that same day. It is unclear when Zulu will appear in court.Zulu’s lawyer, Gabe Banks, said in a statement that Zulu was jumped by four individuals and was protecting himself after the suspects repeatedly attacked him while in a “defenseless posture.”The family of Artez Benton wants answers for the death of the 23-year-old.“We just want justice for Artez,” Arteria Benton, older sister of Artez, told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.Zulu is known throughout Atlanta for his involvement in the community.

Kyle Eustice Ludacris’ longtime manager Chaka Zulu (real name: Ahmed Obafemi) was arrested on a litany of charges, including murder, on Sept. 13. According to Fulton County, Georgia jail inmate records, Obafemi — who voluntarily turned himself in — faces additional charges of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and simple battery for a June shooting outside of Atlanta restaurant APT 4B that left 23-year-old Artez Benton dead. Records show Obafemi bonded out the same day. Late Saturday night (Sept. 17), Obafemi’s attorney Gabe Banks released a statement via Instagram regarding the arrest and insisted his client acted in self-defense.

Todd and Julie Chrisley have been granted a sentencing delay in their tax fraud case. The   stars are now scheduled to be sentenced in an Atlanta courtroom on Nov. 21, according to a new legal document obtained by ET. Back in June, the couple was found guilty of conspiracy to commit bank fraud, conspiracy to defraud the United States and tax fraud.
