“Atlanta” have talked about the series has led viewers to attempt to truly decipher what the series is trying to do with every season. Originally, creator and star Donald Glover referred to the show as his attempt at doing “Twin Peaks with rappers,” which is something that could technically be considered the larger throughline of the series.
(And arguably something that Season 4 completes the circle on.) The second season, subtitled “Robbin’ Season,” memorably had the “Tiny Toon Adventures: How I Spent My Vacation” descriptor that honestly made a lot of sense as the season unfolded. Season 3 was the series’ attempt at making a “Black fairytale,” short stories that Glover would want to watch.
It was a far dreamier season than the first two seasons, and one that took the characters out of Atlanta (albeit still bringing Atlanta to Europe) while also alternating between focusing on the main characters and anthology episodes set back in Atlanta.The reception to Season 3 was the most mixed of the series, as there was an argument to be made that the anthology episodes—no matter how you felt about the quality of the episodes and what they were trying to say—could’ve simply been their own separate show. The six-episode series hails from writer Ed Solomon and director Steven Soderbergh. Per the official description, “An investigation into a botched kidnapping uncovers long-held secrets connecting multiple characters and cultures in present day New York City.” Cole joins previously announced cast members Dennis Quaid, Claire Danes, Zazie Beetz, Timothy Olyphant, and Jharrel Jerome. Cole made his onscreen debut in the Amazon anthology series “Small Axe,” playing the title role of Wheatle in the fourth episode of the series. He has since gone on to star in the film “Boxing Day” and in an episode of Season 3 of the hit FX series “Atlanta.” Next up, he will be seen in the Netflix film “The Beautiful Game.”

In addition to the new cast, Nathalie Emmanuel will reprise her role in Season 2. Eric Appel returns to direct with Tripper Clancy returning as writer. Production of “Die Hart 2: Die Harter” has begun in Atlanta. The series will stream free (with ads) on the Roku Channel but a premiere date has not been set. In “Die Hart” Season 1, which co-starred John Travolta, Hart played a fictionalized version of himself who ultimately achieved his dream of becoming a bona-fide action hero. In the second season, Hart now wants to cement his legacy as the greatest action star of all time. He’s developed a concept for a revolutionary movie where the action is so unscripted and unexpected that even Kevin won’t know what’s coming next. “Westworld” actor Rodrigo Santoro will star opposite Sarah Michelle Gellar in the upcoming “Wolf Pack” series for Paramount+, the streamer announced Wednesday. Groups fan site.The document, which is available to view here, shows that Franklin was monitored ahead of and around her appearances at civil rights movement events, including the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and the Southern Christian Leadership Conference.The events took place in the late 1960s in Atlanta, Georgia and Memphis, Tennessee respectively, and were referred to by the FBI in the document as “communist infiltration” events.Elsewhere, Franklin was referenced in a note titled: “Assassination of Martin Luther King.
