The Love Island 2022 finalists have arrived back in the UK from Mallorca where they were greeted to an emotional reunion with family and friends. The reunion follows a dramatic final which was broadcast live from the Love Island villa on Monday 1 August. Ekin-Su and Davide were crowned the winners of the series, followed by Gemma and Luca in third place, Dami and Indiyah in second place and Tasha and Andrew in fourth.

Love Island has sparked hundreds more complaints in its final week, it has been revealed. The ITV2 dating show came to an end on Monday night (August 1) with host Laura Whitmore heading into the Mallorcan villa to reveal the winners of the 2022 series.

Luca Bish has addressed his "protective" behaviour of Gemma Owen on this year's Love Island in an Instagram live video shortly after leaving the villa.The 23 year old was subject to tweets accusing him of being protective of 19 year old Gemma during their time on the hit ITV2 dating show, where they finished in second place.They were beaten only by Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, both 27, who won with a landslide 63.7% of the vote. After leaving the villa, Luca and fellow finalists Andrew Le Page and Dami Hope hosted an Instagram live, showing the finalists getting ready to jet back to the UK.

Love Island's winning couple Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti certainly looked happy as they headed back to the UK.Taking to her Instagram stories, Ekin-Su shared a video of Davide hugging and kissing her, while she said: "England baby." Davide can also be heard saying: "We're coming," to which Ekin-Su adds: "We're coming to the UK." According to ITV figures, Ekin-Su and Davide won the Love Island final by 63.69% of the final vote. While runners-up Gemma Owen and Luca Bish received 14.47% of votes, Indiyah Polack and Dami Hope had 11.77% of the votes and Tasha and Andrew had 10.07%.

It has been revealed that Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti generated more half of the votes to take home the title of Love Island 2022 winners. According to ITV, the pair received 63.69% of the public vote, while Gemma Owen and Luca Bish - who came in second - had only 14.47%. Indiyah Polack and Dami Hope came in third place, and had 11.77% of the vote, as Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page were fourth with 10.07%.The news of the voting figures comes after ITV announced that a whopping 3.4 million people tuned in to watch the finale last night, Monday 1 August.
