Love Island’s Tasha Ghouri's dad reveals he left a letter in her bag ‘for support’

Love Island star Tasha Ghouri’s dad has revealed that he left a letter in her bag which she “can get out any time for support”. Opening up about the sweet gesture, Tarek told OK!: “She does have a letter in her bag from me that she can get out at any time during the show when she needs some support, and if she needs it she will pull it out, for sure.” Tarek has been feeling like a proud dad ever since his dancer daughter entered the villa.
Confessing he was full of “pride” when Tasha, 23, who is the show’s first ever deaf contestant, told her fellow Islanders about her cochlear implant, Tarek said it was “fantastic” for him to see. Of how his daughter is getting on, he told us: “I am blown away with how she’s conducted herself – she’s conducted herself in such a good way. “The way she approached her hearing and explained to people about the cochlear implant was absolutely fantastic and a big moment of pride for me.” Tasha, who is from north Yorkshire has previously described her cochlear implant a her “superpower”.
Talking about how she accepted it, her dad says: “Something clicked and she thought: ‘This is me and I have to accept this and I am not going to let this stop me.’ And where she is now proves that.” Tarek is also proud of her daughter for providing visibility and representation for the deaf community on the popular ITV2 show. “It’s absolutely important,” he says.
