Love Island's Luca Bish's family have apologised for his "insensitive reaction" during Sunday night's explosive Movie Night part two, insisting that he will be "embarrassed" by his behaviour. Taking to Instagram on Monday, Luca's sister Claudia, who is running his account while he's in the villa, issued a statement from the family on behalf of Luca.
It comes after fans called out Luca for his "disrespectful" remarks in front of Tasha Ghouri on Sunday night and his behaviour towards love interest Gemma Owen after seeing a video of her "flirting" with Billy Brown. The statement read: "I want to apologise on behalf of Luca for his insensitive reaction on last night's episode.
I know that when he watches it back, he will be embarrassed and deeply apologetic. "We as his family don't condone his behaviour last night, but we do understand he is in an intense environment where his emotions are heightened.
Last night was not reflective of the boy we all know and love at home." His family then hit back at trolls sending "death threats and nasty comments" while they also praised fans for "checking in".The statement continued: "Please be aware death threats and nasty comments totally overstep the mark and something we as a family should not have to endure, for this reason we have turned off the comments and messages. "For all those who have sent messages checking in on us, we would like to thank you very much and we see you" with a heart emoji.
During Sunday's Movie Night, Luca was left fuming after he saw Billy talking to Gemma, who he's been partnered up with since early on in the series. He was also called out by the girls for "egging the boys on" after a clip showed him encouraging the male Islanders to explore new connections
