Love Island star Liberty Poole has sworn off of using sun beds after a skin cancer scare. Liberty, 22, discovered a "weird mole" on her tummy shortly after leaving the ITV2 dating show's villa last year. Dancing on Ice star Liberty, who is rumoured to be secretly dating a carpenter, has been told by doctors the mole is unlikely to be cancerous, but has been advised to get it removed.
She explained: "I used to go on sun beds, but then when I came out of Love Island I had this weird mole pop up on my tummy, so I went to the doctor and got the mole checked out. "Now I don’t think it’s worth the risk and I use fake tan instead, it can be quite dangerous." Liberty isn't the only former Islander tp have had a mole removed following a cancer scare as Molly-Mae Hague was diagnosed with a malignant melanoma in 2020.
Molly-Mae later had the mole from the back of her leg removed after it was "caught early". Speaking of the experience, 22 year old Molly said: "The doctor said that it's really good that we caught it early. He said I'm going to need further surgery.
I've already shed tears about it and cried on the phone to every single family member."
