If you follow Love Island’s famous faces on social media, you may have noticed that many of the female cast members look a little different from their time on screen. Over the past year, more and more of the show’s stars have been embracing their natural looks, with everyone from Molly-Mae Hague and Shaughna Phillips to Faye Winter and Sharon Gaffka booking in to dissolve their lip fillers.
But it’s not just aesthetics treatments the former Islanders are reversing. In another major transformation, season five star Amy Hart has appeared on Instagram sporting her natural, much-shorter hair after having her lengthy, bleached-blonde extensions removed.
During her time on the ITV2 dating competition show, the former air hostess was famed for her long, Barbie-esque locks. Much like her fellow contestants, she enhanced her look with the help of extensions but now she reveals that she’s having a “break” from her lengthy ‘do.
In a clip shared to her Instagram Stories, Amy explains to fans that she’s now removed her extensions entirely so that she can treat herself to a Brazilian blow-dry – a hair-smoothing treatment that’s known for making hair frizz-free and more manageable. “Lots of you asking what a Brazilian blow-dry is,” Amy says.
