ITV has excited Love Island fans after confirming the show will return very soon. There has been much speculation around the hit dating show's start date as it has launched in June in previous years - and now host Iain Stirling has revealed it will make its comeback next month.
Since it first began back in June 2015, Love Island has amassed millions of viewers who watch the contestants fall in love whilst living together in an isolated villa in Majorca. Spanning from six to eight weeks long, the Islanders live in the villa with no connection to the outside world and their fate often lies in the viewers' hands.
In recent years Love Island been a huge platform for influencers and reality stars, with celebrities such as Molly-Mae Hague, Tommy Fury, Dani Dyer and Kem Cetinay seeing their careers take off after appearing on the show. It has also been successful in matchmaking with some Islanders who were once 'coupled up' on the show still together, and some who are now married with babies.
