Laura Anderson has shared how she once was part of a birthday surprise for Hollywood star and Love Island superfan Margot Robbie. Laura, who appeared on the 2018 series of the popular ITV2 show, recently revealed that she was contacted by Margot's friends ahead of the Barbie star's birthday.
Margot's friends contacted a number of Love Island stars to ask if they would send a video message to the actress for her 30th birthday party - which was themed around the TV show. Laura has now recalled the 'very cool' experience, and shared that she was left shocked when Margot knew who she was.
Speaking to MailOnline, Laura said: "I would quite like to interview like Margot Robbie in the future because she's a big fan of Love Island and that would be quite cool because me and some of the other islanders from season 4 were asked by some of her friends to send them a video for her birthday once. "She had a Love Island themed birthday party on a yacht and they played all of us saying happy birthday to her and she was so excited.
The fact that she actually kind of knows who I am is very cool.
"They got a few people but it was all our season and they sent us a video of her reaction. She was like 'oh Laura', you know saying my name and I was like 'oh my God she knows who we are!'" Margot Robbie's love for Love Island made headlines during the UK premiere of Barbie when she was snapped on the red carpet alongside a number of the show's stars, including Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, Davide Sanclimenti, and Liberty Poole.
Margot's love of the reality show, also saw former star Chris Taylor land a role in the Barbie film. Sharing the story of how this all came about, Chris spoke exclusively to OK! and said he attended a premiere with fellow Love
