Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu has announced a huge career move and revealed she's releasing a tell-all memoir.
The book will see the former Love Island winner bravely open up about childhood traumas, bullying and her relationship with ex-boyfriend Davide Sanclimenti as she states "I’m done hiding and lying". The huge news comes after Ekin, 29, broke her silence on her split from Davide and confessed to how she "f***ked up" by taking part in Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year. She first teased the idea of a new career move on Instagram after sharing the date 28.08.2024 across three posts.
Now, news of her book has been confirmed as she told The Sun: "I’ve got a book coming out which is all about me and the people I’ve met in life. "You are going to know who I am. You're going to know why I am the way I am." She added that the book, called Be Your Own Best Friend, will include "childhood traumas" and extreme bullying", while also detailing her previous relationships which "broke her heart" and left her feeling "abandoned".
Ekin revealed it features "everything", including her relationship with her ex-boyfriend Davide, whom she won Love Island with in 2022. She added: "I’m done hiding. I’m done lying and protecting other people, this is my truth." However, it's not just a tell-all book, as Ekin was keen to help others and said it offers "advice" in every chapter.
In an emotional end to the book, Ekin said it includes a letter she wrote to her 10-year-old self, outlining what she wished someone had told her at the time. Ekin described writing the book as "therapy" and said she wanted to be liked for being herself, not from what is shown on TV. She added that she doesn't feel as though she's been given "a chance" to show her true
