Love Island's Coco breaks down over show editing and 'unflattering photos'

Love Island's Coco Lodge broke down in tears during an interview where she was asked how she had coped with spiteful comments which referenced her physical appearance. The 27 year old appeared on The Murad Merali Podcast where she discussed the "hurtful" comments she'd received as well as making claims that ITV edited her "to look a certain way".
Podcast host, Murad Merali began the teaser clip from his podcast by stating the reality had been "seriously trolled". He said: "Coco, you have been seriously trolled - I saw it everywhere.
I saw it a lot on Twitter, random TikTok's on the for you page, you know, people saying 'how were you able to get in the villa' and 'why would Andrew pick you'." Murad went onto ask how she had dealt with the backlash but despite initially replying, Coco found it hard to get her words out as she became overwhelmed with emotion. She said: "I didn't expect it, I mean I've never had an issue with - I don't want to get emotional." The former islander needed to take a few moments to compose herself before declaring "I'm fine".
She started again, saying: "It hurts because obviously it's about your appearance and how I was perceived on the show was not, like, my personality anyway." Coco then went onto claim show runners had deliberately edited her to look "a certain way" and even stated they had chosen the least "flattering stuff". She said: "They've edited me to look a certain way but to comment on my appearance it's obviously been hurtful - I've been cast for a reason.
"How you look on those cameras or in the press photos to begin with is not like, they don't choose the most flattering stuff. I think all of our press photos were a lot better in real life and when you go in the villa..." Coco was
