Love Island fans have made 1,600 complaints in the week since Faye Winter's cruel rant that mocked her fellow islanders. Figures released by the regulator yesterday (25 August) showed that in the week since the episode broadcast on 17 August, over 1,600 complaints were made "related to the behaviour of a contestant".

Love Island has been hit with a record-breaking number of Ofcom complaints after one particular explosive scene. The broadcasting regulator received a total of 24,763 complaints after a recent episode which involved a sweary and dramatic argument between Faye Winter and Teddy Soares.
The ITV2 reality dating show had previously soared to 4,000 complaints after the postcard arrived in the villa during Casa Amor earlier in the series. However, this record has now been broken following the movie
