There was more drama afoot in the Love Island villa on Thursday, as the relationships between the Islanders were put to the test as part of a shocking re-coupling, just one day on since the arrival of two stunning new bombshells. Prior to the re-coupling, tensions in the villa were already running high, after a game of Never Have I Ever took a heated turn when the Islanders turned on Zachariah Noble after he confessed he had cheated in the past.
Despite his candid admission, Zach's honesty prompted a vicious reaction from Ella Thomas and Jess Harding, who branded him “once a cheater, always a cheater.” Unimpressed by Ella’s attack on Zachariah, Tyrique Hyde soon pulled her aside after the game to explain that while he would always back her in public, what she had done just then, wasn’t cool and he expressed his displeasure at her behaviour. Clearly disgruntled at being called out, Ella later went to apologise to Zach for her outburst, but tensions continued to remain, as Mitch Taylor argued that both she and Jess had been trying to “stir the pot” and drum up trouble. There was also further trouble on the horizon when Mehdi Edno pulled his partner Whitney Adebayo to one side and admitted he wanted to get to know other people in the villa, in particular Leah Taylor.
With all of the Islanders on a knife edge, a shocking text later in the day revealed that a re-coupling would then take place, with new Islanders Mal and Montel the first to choose who they wanted to couple up with. First to choose was Montel who selected Leah, before Mal made her choice and picked Sammy, a decision which left his former love interest Jess, utterly heartbroken.
