Lorraine Kelly has broken her silence after a "suspicious package" sent to her meant staff at ITV studios had to be evacuated on 10 March. Speaking to Kate Garraway, 54, and Ben Shephard, 47, about the incident, she explained that the security alert was due to a present sent to her that contained a battery in it.
Ben initiated the conversation as he asked: "Lorraine, were you responsible for the evacuation? I was reading the newspaper. And apparently..." Kate then interrupted and said: "Oh yes I heard about this." "What was it? A pair of suspicious underwear or something?" Ben questioned.

She shared: "No it wasn't! So it was, apparently, so I am told, apparently somebody had sent – somebody from a film company had sent me a wee present – and it had a battery in it.
And when they x-rayed it, it looked a little suspicious. "But it was all fine and it was all dandy." Kate then said: "Oh hello," as Lorraine added: "It is OK." Blonde beauty Kate continued: "It is all alright.
It is lovely to know people care about you and are looking after you, isn't it?" Lorraine replied: "Exactly, it all works, the system all works." Ben then added: "I'll tell you what, the crew were all thrilled to be bit because they all got to go outside for a couple of hours." Joking, Lorraine replied: "I know, what a shame – at least it proves the system works." Become an OK! VIP and see all our exclusives - for free! Become an OK!
