The Hollywood actress starred alongside George Reeves in the TV series Adventures of Superman, and was the first person to portray the feisty newspaper reporter on-screen in the 1951 film Superman and the Mole Men. The popular TV series, which was black and white, became an instant favourite among fans and propelled the characters sky-high with many more renditions of the DC comic books story to come.
