Thurston Moore has shared his contribution to this month’s ongoing Galaxie 500 covers series, releasing his take on the legendary dream-pop band’s ‘Another Day’. Thurston Moore, Real Estate, Surfer Blood, Mark Lanegan and a handful of other acts are celebrating the forthcoming vinyl release of dream-pop group Galaxie 500’s live album with a series of covers from the band’s back catalogue.The live album, ‘Copenhagen’, was recorded back in the ’90s during their European tour and will arrive as part of the first instalment of this year’s Record Store Day on August 29.A cover will be released every day until August 28, the day before the record is available

Thurston Moore has shared a new song called ‘Canteloupe’ – listen to it below.The former-Sonic Youth impresario’s latest single comes ahead of the release of his new album ‘By The Fire’, which is due out September 25 via his own Daydream Library Series label.The album is set to feature contributions from many of Moore’s frequent collaborators, including My Bloody Valentine‘s Deb Googe on bass and backing vocals, along with James Sedwards on guitar.
