Roswell, New Mexico returns for its third season, it will be with a new showrunner at the helm, TV Guide has confirmed. Carina Adly MacKenzie, who co-ran the first two seasons of The CW sci-fi drama with Christopher Hollier, is no longer with the show. "Carina Adly MacKenzie has departed as executive producer/co-showrunner of Roswell, New Mexico," Warner Bros.

It's been a weird season of Roswell, New Mexico so far for Max Evans (Nathan Parsons).   After dying via sacrifice in the season one finale, he's been dead for months, appearing only in nightmares had by Rosa (Amber Midthunder) and hallucinations had by Isobel (Lily Cowles). Now, he's been revived, thanks to the heart of an alien enemy and a little help from the formerly dead girl he sacrificed himself for.

Roswell, New Mexico's Isobel Evans has been through a lot over the past few weeks.  First, she discovered that her husband was not who she thought he was, and was secretly an evil alien who compelled her to kill someone a decade ago. Then he died, and her brother Max died, and the girl she had been compelled to kill came back to life.

Rosa came back from the dead, and so did all of her problems.  At the end of season one of Roswell, New Mexico, Rosa (Amber Midthunder) was brought back to life after she was discovered to be preserved in an alien pod underground. Unfortunately, Max Evans (Nathan Dean Parsons) had to sacrifice himself to save her, and now not only does Rosa have to live with that guilt, but she's also got Max contacting her from what may or may not be purgatory, asking her to prevent Liz from saving him.
