With the new spinoff TV series, “XO, Kitty,” the youngest Covey sister is stepping into the spotlight and going after the life she feels she deserves, even if that means getting her heart broken in the process.  From the minds of “To All The Boys” novelist Jenny Han and “Glow” scribe Sascha Rothchild, the series opens in the final hazy days of a Portland summer. Kitty has grown frustrated with the distance in her long-term relationship with Dae (Choi Min-yeong), whom she met several years prior during a family vacation to Seoul, South Korea. With her sisters out of the house, she’s left to twiddle her thumbs with her father, Dan (John Corbett), and step-mom, Trina (Sarayu Blue). However, Kitty refuses to resign herself to a “typical” high school experience. Instead, she convinces her parents to allow her to attend the prestigious Korean Independent School of Seoul (KISS). It’s the same school that Dae attends and where Kitty’s late mother, Eve, spent one magical year of her life. 

Doc Marie’s  Doc Marie’s is a lesbian bar that opened in 2022. They’re known as a “lesbian bar for everyone.” They have two floors, each with its own bar and seating, and a DJ downstairs. There’s even a queer book corner on the top floor.

The Great Manchester Run returns to the city this weekend, with thousands of runners taking on the 10k and half marathon events. Manchester’s original running event takes place on Sunday, May 21, with start times staggered throughout the day.

King Krule has announced an extensive tour in support of his upcoming album ‘Space Heavy’.The artist’s new album is due out on June 9 and is set to explore “the space between” two locations he considers home, London and Liverpool.To support the album, King Krule will be playing shows in the UK, Europe and North America. The artist – real name Archy Marshall – has already announced a string of release shows in London, Bristol, Liverpool and Kingston.

Ethan Shanfeld Mac DeMarco is hitting the road with his road trip instrumental album “Five Easy Hot Dogs.” The indie singer-songwriter will perform one night in Los Angeles and three nights in New York, Paris and London in support of the record, which he released in January. DeMarco will be accompanied by a full band, playing an “intimate” set of “Five Easy Hot Dogs” in its entirety alongside rearranged versions of songs from across his discography. “Hello, Mac D here. In July we are bringing ‘Five Easy Hot Dogs’ to the stage. Should be nice, should be different, hopefully, it will be special. Hope to see you there,” he said in a statement.

Bauhaus frontman Peter Murphy has announced the postponement of his upcoming David Bowie tribute tour with guitarist Adrian Belew.Murphy’s team took to social media to announce that the ‘Celebrating David Bowie’ shows – originally announced for April – are being pushed back to October and November after the singer had to undergo an “unexpected medical procedure”. While details surrounding the procedure remain unknown, his team said that it “prohibits his ability to travel as planned”.Peter Murphy is reportedly “recovering well, will fully recover, and be ready to tour the US with the group this Fall.”A list of rescheduled tour dates and newly announced shows was also revealed.
