Marking Erice’s first feature film since his 1992 docudrama “The Quince Tree Sun” and garnering almost universal positive reviews – Variety called it “an aching ode to film, time and memory” – following its world premiere at Cannes, “Close Your Eyes” has screened at Toronto, Busan, BFI London and New York.

Now, organisers for Sónar Lisboa have announced the first wave of names set to appear at next year’s event.These include DJ sets from Bonobo, Eliza Rose and CC:DISCO, as well as a never-before-seen set from Belgian duo 2manydjs, featuring special guests Éclair Fifi and Erol Alkan.Other artists performing at Sónar Lisboa ‘24 include Sevdaliza, Oneohtrix Point Never, Tommy Cash and Wata Igarashi.

Ed Sheeran‘s latest tax bill has been revealed.The singer-songwriter saw his earnings hit £18.3million in 2022, marking an increase of £8.4million compared to the previous year, The Mirror reports.That meant that the pop titan paid most of his pay rise – £8million – in tax last year. It equates to paying tax of £158,917 per week.Sheeran was previously asked about his wealth in a 2017 interview with OK! Magazine.He said: “It is ‘earn a penny, spend a penny’ with me.

Ed Sheeran has been announced as the first headliner for next year’s installment of Rock in Rio Lisbon.The 2024 edition of the event will mark the festival’s 20th anniversary, with Sheeran set to headline in the 80,000 capacity Parque Tejo Lisboa on June 16.The festival will be held over two weekends in the Portuguese capital, from 15-16 and 22-23 June 2024. It will be the first time it has been held at its new venue, having previously been housed at the Parque da Bela Vista.The first Rock in Rio Lisbon was thrown in 2004 as a spinoff from the original Rock in Rio Festival, which started in the Brazilian city in 1985.

Ben Howard has announced a 26-date live run which will take place across the UK, Ireland and Europe.The tour will kick off at La Riviera in Madrid on May 18, with two nights in Amsterdam in June and a stop at the Philarmonie de Paris on July 4. This marks the musician’s first European run in five years.Following dates in Europe, Howard will head to Glasgow’s SWG3 on July 21, with a sold out date at Alexandra Palace Park, London on July 22.

The National have revealed that they’re working on new music during rehearsals for their upcoming tour.The band kick off their global tour next week with a pair of shows at Salle Pleyel in Paris, France on Monday (May 30) and Tuesday (May 31).They’ll then play a variety of festivals across Europe – including Spain’s Primavera Sound, Ireland’s Docklands Festival and Portugal’s Rock in Rio Lisboa – before heading home for a tour across North America.In a new social media post, The National have shared a photo from tour rehearsals while teasing the arrival of some new music.“Rehearsals are underway,” the band wrote yesterday (May 26). “It’s great for the seven of us to finally be back together in a room working on music both fresh and familiar.

The first edition of ONSeries Lisboa, an upstart marketplace and networking event set to be run by Conecta Fiction producers Inside Content, has been rescheduled to Sept. 28-29, 2020. Originally scheduled to take place  April 28-29, organizers have moved back the inaugural edition in response to the spread of COVID-19 across Europe and particularly the Iberian Peninsula.
