After posting giant per screen numbers at four theaters last weekend, A24’s Beau Is Afraid  jumps to 926 for the distributor’s third outing with Ari Aster. Disney has shared a first look at its upcoming new animated sci-fi series Iwájú at the D23 Expo in California.The event is taking place this weekend (September 9-11) at the Anaheim Convention Center and unveiling many new films and TV series from the studio.Among them was Iwájú, which was created by Ziki Nelson. The comic-style series will be set in Lagos and will explore class, innocence and challenging the status quo.During D23, Disney unveiled the first-look image from the show and announced that it will arrive on Disney+ sometime in 2023.

Pixar has confirmed that Inside Out 2 is in the works and unveiled a new sci-fi-themed movie called Elio at Disney’s D23 Expo.The event is currently taking place in Anaheim, California, where many new films and highly anticipated sequels are being revealed today (September 9).Parks And Recreation’s Amy Poehler, who played Joy in 2015’s Inside Out, made an appearance at the event to share the news. Kesley Mann will direct the new film, while Meg LeFauve will write the script and Mark Nielsen will produce.According to Poehler, Inside Out 2 will be set in Riley’s – who is now a teenager – head, where she experiences brand new emotions.

Disenchanted, the follow-up to 2007’s hit movie Enchanted.The trailer for the sequel was revealed earlier today (September 9) at Disney’s D23 Expo in Anaheim.Disenchanted follows Giselle (played by Adams) 10 years after she thought she’d got her “happily ever after” moment. But instead, a decade on, she questions her happiness and, according to a synopsis, “inadvertently turns the lives of those in the real world and Andalasia upside down in the process”.James Marsden and Idina Menzel will also reprise their roles from the first film, while Gabriella Baldacchino will replace Rachel Covey as Morgan Philip – Giselle’s stepdaughter.It was also revealed that new characters will include the villainous Malvina Monroe, who will be played by Maya Rudolph.In the trailer, Adams is seen singing from the balcony of her New York apartment and explaining to the birds around her that while “change can be scary”, it can also be exciting.
