A local carer in Salford has been nominated as one of three finalists in its national 'Care Professional of the Year' award. Angela Marsh, who has worked as a carer at Home Instead Salford since 2017 has been nominated for her commitment to clients and thanking her for stepping up when her clients are in need.
The annual award recognises its Care Professionals across the country who provide exceptional home care as well as making a real difference to the lives of their clients. From a pool of 255 franchise offices and 12,000 Home Instead care professionals across the UK, Angela was chosen as a finalist.
Angela spoke to the MEN on how she feels about the reward, saying: "It's really special, I appreciate Susan and the office team getting together a nomination for me. It makes me feel very proud and that I’m doing a good job, all the feedback and with the clients, being nominated I just feel appreciated also, it means the world to me."

Before Angela started working at Home Instead, she used to care for her mother, where she realised her passion for helping and looking after those who can't fully do it themselves.

"I am passionate and I’ve always had a caring nature. If you’ve looked after somebody, which a majority of people have and as long as you have a care background, if not Home Instead shows you what’s expected and you can shadow someone," she explained.
Since Angela started she has never had a day off, including working throughout the
