Lindsay Arnold Leaving ‘DWTS’ Amid ‘Complicated Logistical’ Family Issues, Including Pregnancy Disappointment

Netflix has started rounding out the cast for its Lindsay Lohan-led romantic comedy Irish Wish, with Ed Speleers (Outlander), Alexander Vlahos (Sanditon), Ayesha Curry (A Black Lady Sketch Show), Elizabeth Tan (Emily in Paris) and Jane Seymour (The Kominsky Method) signing on for roles.

Rebecca Rubin Film and Media Reporter “Irish Wish,” a romantic comedy starring Lindsay Lohan, has rounded out its call sheet. Ed Speleers (“Outlander,” “Downton Abbey”), Alexander Vlahos (“Outlander”), Ayesha Curry (“About Last Night,” “A Black Lady Sketch Show”), Elizabeth Tan (“Emily in Paris”) and Jane Seymour (“The Kominsky Method,” “Wedding Crashers”) have joined the cast of the Netflix movie, though it’s unclear who anyone is playing in “Irish Wish.” The movie centers on Lohan’s character Maddie, who has to put aside her feelings when the love of her life gets engaged to another woman… who happens to be her best friend. Days before the couple is set to marry in Ireland, Maddie makes a spontaneous wish for true love, only to wake up as the bride-to-be. With her dream seeming to come true, Maddie soon realizes that her real soulmate is someone else entirely.

The  pro has announced that she won't be returning to the ballroom this season, calling it «one of the hardest decisions to make.» Arnold says that, «ultimately I have chosen what I feel is best for myself and my family.» The news comes just as Sharna Burgess reveals that she, too, will be bowing out of DWTS' upcoming season 31 after welcoming her first baby on June 28.Arnold, 28 — who has been openly documenting her journey to conceive a second child in recent weeks — shared the news of her departure from the show in a lengthy Instagram post on Wednesday, posted alongside a stunning family photo with husband Samuel Cusick and daughter Sage, who turns two in November. A post shared by Lindsay Arnold Cusick (@lindsarnold)«You all know that my family is the most important thing to me and doing what is best for my daughter is always going to be at the top of my list!» she writes.

Lindsay Shookus has left her longtime role as a producer on NBC's "Saturday Night Live." On Friday, the 42-year-old six-time Emmy Award winner took to Instagram to announce her exit from the show.  "After 20 seasons at Saturday Night Live (and 415 live shows - i counted!), I have decided to trade in the wild late night life and move on from the show," she wrote in a lengthy caption of a photo of herself on set.  Shookus continued, "When I started in 2002, I was a baby from Buffalo, NY who didn’t know anything about the business, except that I so badly wanted to be somehow part of it. I found my place at SNL and I’ve spent the past two decades developing the most incredible friendships and memories alongside some truly brilliant and talented people."  The New York native added that she had met her ex-husband and former "SNL" producer Kevin Miller, with whom she shares a daughter, Maddie, through her work on the show.
