Two products in Lidl have been recalled over Salmonella fears, with a 'do not eat' warning issued.
According to the Foods Standards Agency, two duck products are being recalled to the major supermarket. The FSA said 'salmonella has been found in the products'.
The products are the Braemoor 2 Duck Breast Fillets with Plum, Soy and Ginger Sauce Sachet and the Braemoor 2 Duck Breast Fillets, Skin on and Boneless. Both pack sizes are 400g, with the fillets with the sauce sachet having a best before date of August 21, 2024 and the skin-on or boneless fillets with a best before date of August 31, 2024.

A risk statement posted on the FSA website: "Salmonella has been found in the products listed above. Symptoms caused by salmonella usually include fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps."
Customers who have bought the products should not eat them and should return them to a Lidl store, where a full refund will be given. Posters have also been put up in Lidl stores about the product recall.
According to the NHS, Salmonella infection is caused by a family of germs (bacteria) that live in the gut of many birds and animals. The time taken from picking up Salmonella to becoming ill is between six hours and three days but can be longer, and often it is within 12-36 hours.
Symptoms include loose stools, abdominal pain, fever, headache, nausea and/or vomiting and general tiredness.
