2022 CMT Music Awards are just around the corner, and the line-up is stacked with a roster of some of this year’s nominees and some winners from awards shows past.On Friday, it was revealed that Kenny Chesney will close out the show, marking his first return to the CMT stage in seven years. The country crooner will be performing his hit song, «Beers in Mexico.The CMT Music Awards is known for bringing some of the best world premiere performances and biggest collaborations and this year is no exception. Jason Aldean and Bryan Adams will perform together, while Jimmie Allen, Monica and Little Big Town will also hit the stage.

Nate Bargatze was the comic who came packing protection as he stepped out to present awards during the Grammys’ premiere ceremony Sunday afternoon in Las Vegas.Said LeVar Burton, who hosted the webcast in which most of the day’s Grammys were handed out, “Now, I want to warn you all that our next presenter is a comedian, if you know what I mean.” They knew.

The Recording Academy is handing out its 64th annual Grammy Awards today and tonight in Las Vegas, starting with the Premiere Ceremony preshow at 12:30 p.m. PT. The televised portion starts at 5 p.m. PT.

LAS VEGAS -- As John Legend was honored for his musical achievements Saturday — the night before the Grammy Awards — the singer used the Recording Academy stage to pay homage to a Black music culture that has shaped him and the wider world of music.Legend explained how Black music has set trends for listeners across the globe, speaking at the academy’s Black Music Collective event in Las Vegas, where he was given the Global Impact Award for his personal and professional achievements in the music industry.“I’m proud to celebrate and honor and cultivate our music,” Legend said at the event held the night before the Grammy Awards.“Black music is and has been the rhythm, the root, the inspiration, the innovation behind so much of the world’s popular music. It doesn’t exist without us," he said.The multi-Grammy winner applauded the efforts of the Black Music Collective, a group created in 2020 of prominent music industry leaders — including honorary chairs from Legend and producers Jimmy Jam and Quincy Jones — who are looking to find ways to drive Black representation and inclusion.
