Leigh Francis shared that he reached out to 'everyone' involved in the This Morning scandal but hasn't seen Holly Willoughby since "all the telly drama".
The Celebrity Juice presenter, otherwise known by his alter ego Keith Lemon, admitted he hadn't seen his good pal and former co-star Holly since his 50th birthday in April. The lavish birthday bash had a slew of A-listers in attendance including Holly and Phillip Schofield, Fearne Cotton, Emma Bunton and Kimberly Walsh.
Leigh spoke about his friendship with Holly following the This Morning scandal which saw Phillip leave the show before confessing to an affair with a younger colleague. Holly took an extended summer break from the ITV show but returned in September following the drama.
In an interview with MailOnline, Leigh opened up about his friendship with Holly: "The last time I saw Holly was on my birthday. I haven’t seen her since all the telly drama. April was the last time I saw her in real life."
The comedian added that he "reached out to everyone" during the scandal, adding: "I just text people and go, 'Are you ok?' I reached out to everyone."
Holly returned to This Morning without Phillip earlier this month, after insisting she knew nothing about the affair and was lied to by her former best mate. When asked why Holly would return to the show, Leigh quipped: "They pay well, don’t they?"
He added: "I’m guessing she still enjoys it, so I think you should leave a show when you don’t enjoy it anymore."
