After laying dormant for several years, the former Panacea venue has finally reopened its doors. Earlier this year, speculation was rife that the former celeb haunt would be revived, however a few weeks ago it was confirmed that a brand new concept would be opening.
Planning permission was requested earlier this year to open a brand new spot within the basement space. And now, after months of renovation, kitchen training and menu curation, iKaro has finally been unveiled.
Company director, Zack Issak, said: "It's long overdue that this popular space opened its doors once more and we're thrilled to be able to do that. IKaro will create an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Guests will enjoy a choice of the world's finest Champagnes, paired with the best Wagyu steaks and seafood on the market.”

Billed as a 'cosmopolitan' seafood, grill and Champagne bar, the design of the space certainly picks up from where Panacea left off, with ultra-luxe interior design details. Entering the space on John Dalton Street, an immersive wrap-around digital display along the exterior immediately catches the eye and sets the tone before heading down the golden steps to the restaurant and bar below.
The bar remains in its same spot, but now with a much moodier feel thanks to the dark interior palette choice and bronze-trim. Of course, a luxury bar has to be stocked with the finest vintage whiskeys and champagnes, and at iKaro's can be admired in red-lit display cabinets at the far end of the bar.
