If you worried about Last Man Standing and The Resident after they were left out of the press release announcing the fall 2020 plans, you can breathe a sigh of relief. Fox has made it official: The Resident and Last Man Standing have been renewed for the 2020-2021 TV season.

Last Man Standing won't lay down just yet. The Fox comedy has officially been renewed, TV Guide has learned, bringing the series to its ninth season.

With film and television productions shut down around the globe, the stars, like many other people, are waiting out the coronavirus pandemic at home. Some celebs are staying active, some are lounging around and some are doing a little bit of both, but they're all keeping busy without leaving the house.

Last Man Standing hasn't been renewed for Season 9 yet, and in Fox's recent announcement of what's to come for the fall season, the Tim Allen-led family series wasn't on the schedule. Delays on a decision may be due in part to the fact that, last season, Fox unveiled Last Man Standing as a midseason program, kicking off Season 8 in January of 2019.

Even the stars have turned to television to keep themselves busy during the coronavirus quarantine. A slew of FOX stars including Tim Allen, Lou Diamond Phillips, and more recently spoke to Fox News about what shows they're binging while stuck at home.

Remaining hopeful. Season 8 of Last Man Standing was forced to wrap before filming its finale, forcing the April 30 penultimate episode to serve as the final episode of the season. However, star Tim Allen is hopeful that the show will be renewed for a ninth season — and that the original finale can serve as the premiere.

Tim Allen is a family man on and off the screen. The comedian spoke with Fox News about his show "Last Man Standing," in which, he plays a father of three -- a role that reminds him of his own life.

Eve (Kaitlyn Dever) returns home for a weekend visit on the next Last Man Standing, which also happens to be the last episode of Season 8 due to coronavirus interrupting production. As seen in the exclusive clip, Eve's return home from the Air Force causes...feelings to come to the forefront, and not all of them good ones. Naturally, everybody in the house missed her, and wants to get some of her time.
