Wolfgang Petersen, the Oscar-nominated director of "In The Line Of Fire", "Air Force One" and "The Perfect Storm," has died due to pancreatic cancer, his representative confirmed to Fox News Digital. He was 81. The German filmmaker died peacefully on Friday at his Brentwood, California home in the arms of his wife of 50 years, Maria Antoinette.  In 1981, Petersen made his breakthrough with the German-language WWII film "Das Boot", which he wrote and directed.The submarine epic received six Academy Award nominations, with Petersen scoring nods for best director and best adapted screenplay.

Madonna, the "Queen of Pop," plans to celebrate during sixty-four with a lavish celebration in Italy on Tuesday.  The singer has traveled to Sicily with her closest friends and family, including her son Rocco to host a 64th birthday party at the Palazzo Castelluccio, according to reports.The Sicilian palace dates back to the 18th century.  "As with every birthday, Madonna will host an epic party, but this year will be particularly special," an unnamed source told The Sun. "The palace is nothing short of spectacular.

Thania Garcia Metal band Five Finger Death Punch and country rock singer Brantley Gilbert are joining forces for a 22-date tour. Country singer Naomi Judd has left her daughters Wynonna and Ashley out of her will. She instead appointed her husband of 33 years Larry Strickland as executor of her estate, giving him “full authority and discretion” over her assets “without the approval of any court”. Judd, 76, shot herself dead in an upstairs room of her Tennessee farmhouse on April 30 after a long battle with her mental health.
