Former Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh has removed a trace of now-ex-husband Scott Ratcliff from her Instagram page after news emerged last week that the duo had parted ways after 18 months of marriage. The Hear'Say frontwoman, 46, has deleted her former army officer flame from her bio, which used to read: "wife to Scott". Kym - who has been married three times, tying the knot with Scott in 2021 - has instead changed the text to read: "Mum to David, Emilie, Polly and Archie [heart emoji] YaYa to Teddy, Polly and Clay.
Actor, presenter, singer". Last night, the star appeared to have ditched her wedding ring in her first public appearance since news emerged of their break-up, as she was papped on the red carpet of the Pride of Manchester Awards.
Posing with her hand on her hip for photographers, Kym beamed as she showed off her bare ring finger, with just one sparkly pear-shaped gemstone ring on her middle finger instead. The mum-of-four has children David, 27, and Emilie, 25, with ex fiancé David Cunliffe, as well as daughter Polly, 11, with former partner Jamie Lomas (the pair also welcomed son Archie in 2009 but he tragically died shortly after the birth). Following reports of Kym and Scott's separation, a source has now claimed it came as a result of the distance and difficulties in keeping their relationship going.
Speaking about their split, a source told OK! last week : "Kym and Scott are both saddened by the split. Unfortunately, distance and career paths led to the breakdown." Although the split is amicable, they point to the differences – and distance – between the pair, who tied the knot in a lavish ceremony at Sandhurst military academy in October 2021.
