Shamed Emmerdale actor Asan N’jie has landed his first role since being axed from the soap for threatening to “knife” Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas at an awards ceremony.
N’jie will appear in BBC1 crime thriller Bloodlands, which is spearheaded by Line of Duty writer Jed Mercurio.
Confirming his new role, the 25-year-old said he is “really looking forward to the next project” and will be “working with some amazing actors”.
They include Cold Feet star James Nesbitt – who plays a Northern Irish
