There have now been 76 cases of salmonella in the UK linked to Kinder products, the UK Health Security Agency has confirmed.
The majority of the cases are in children under five years of age and have been linked to products made in one of Ferrero’s factories in Belgium, according to the UKHSA.

The UKHSA is continuing to remind shoppers that a range of Kinder products should not be eaten.

Dr Lesley Larkin, surveillance lead at the UKHSA, said: “Symptoms of salmonellosis typically resolve themselves within a few days. However, symptoms can be more severe, especially in young children and those with weakened immune systems.
“Anybody with concerns that they have symptoms of salmonellosis should contact their GP or call NHS 111. Salmonella can be spread from person to person, so anyone affected should adhere to good hygiene practice such as washing
