Keke Palmer Shuts Down The National Guard Cops ‘Kneeling’ At Protests: It ‘Isn’t Enough’

LOS ANGELES -- After 33 seasons on the air, “Cops” has been dropped by the Paramount Network as protests against police proliferate around the world. “Cops is not on the Paramount Network and we don’t have any current or future plans for it to return,” a spokesperson for the cable channel said in a statement Tuesday.

Keke Palmer is continuing to speak out one week after a video of her at a Los Angeles protest went viral. The 26-year-old actress was protesting police brutality and racial injustice when she was filmed speaking with a member of the National Guard, asking him to march with the protesters in a show of solidarity. In a new guest column for, Palmer opens up her interaction with the guard, and why the Black Lives Matter movement is so important to her.

LOS ANGELES (Variety.com) – A&E has decided not to run new episodes of “Live PD” this Friday and Saturday, while Paramount Network has delayed the Season 33 launch of “Cops,” the long-running reality series that was scheduled to return on Monday.
