Kate Winslet has reportedly been rushed to hospital after suffering an injury on the set of a new film she's been working on. Pictures obtained by Croatian press show the Hollywood star, 46, making her way towards Dubrovnik Hospital, which was 15 minutes away from Kupari – the village she was working in.
The snaps see the actor walking away from a black car dressed in a black top with a matching pair of leggings and jacket, while she donned a blue face mask. OK! has approached Kate's representatives for further comment on what may have happened on the set of her movie.
Kate is currently in Croatia shooting alongside Jude Law to portray the life of wartime photographer of Vogue Magazine, Lee Miller. It comes just six months after it was reported that the Mare of Easttown actor is set to star alongside her daughter Mia Threapleton in new series of I Am Ruth. Mia, whose credits include Shadows and Dangerous Liaisons, will appear with her mother, which started filming at the end of April. But Kate has been keen to point out that Mia hasn't landed roles due to her famous mum, as she "slips under the radar" due to the surname Threapleton.
Kate wed Jim Threapleton in 1998 after meeting on the set of her film Hideous Kinky, but they divorced in 2001, the year after Mia was born.Talking to Lorraine Kelly about Mia's move into acting, Kate said: "I think I knew [it] was coming, I always suspected. And then a few years ago she turned around and said, 'I'd like to give it a go.' " When Mia landed her role in the 2020 movie Shadows she said it was the first audition she'd ever done.
