Kate Ferdinand has revealed the adorable name her three stepchildren, whom she shares with husband Rio Ferdinand, have affectionately adopted for her. Appearing on today's Loose Women, the 30 year old mum-of-one, who has one year old son Cree with the retired footballer, explained that the reason for the decision came as a result of her wanting to unite the family as one. Rio, 43, had Lorenz, 15, Tate, 13, and Tia, 10, with his late wife Rebecca Ellison, who sadly died of cancer in 2015, aged just 34.
Speaking about how she handles the dynamic in their household, former TOWIE star Rebecca, who recently opened up on feeling "lonely" every Mother's Day, told the show's panellists they've found a way for everyone to know her as a version of "mummy". "Yeah they call me Kate, and Cree obviously calls me mum," she began. "And that was something I was worried about when I did have Cree - the dynamic.

"And even Mother's Day last year, I was panicking about my card," the star went on with a laugh, as she admitted she knew she shouldn't be worrying about something so trivial. "[But it's because] I want the children to all be one and all be together," Kate explained.
"I didn't want Cree to send me a card saying mummy, and the kids to send me a separate. "So I've kind of made this name 'Mummy Kate' so now they can all be one, and [it] sort of is both in one," she added. The whole panel agreed wholeheartedly, as Jane Moore said: "That's a really good compromise isn't it." Fitness buff and social media star Kate recently admitted she feels a deep sadness and a sense of "guilt" every Mother's Day on her latest podcast.
