Determined John Bennett has promised Rangers supporters the club WILL break even and revealed his cast-iron plan to turn it into a reality.
The chairman pledged to shareholders at the club's AGM they will never return to the dark days of 2012 and told them he will reduce the £10.5million loss of last year to nothing without factoring in player trading. "I've been kicking tyres and finding cost savings and it will come down. Rangers will go to a place where they break even before player trading so don't be concerned about that."
And the chairman believes any fears over a return to previous financial strife are an impossibility for a club who will leave no stone unturned as they unite to back Clement. He insisted the manager will have have money to spend in the forthcoming windows – despite the money wasted by Michael Beale.
Bennett added: "It will not cause us any problems like we suffered 10 years ago. That’s over. I wouldn’t worry about our summer spend and what Philippe wants to do. I want our fans to know it’s a process.
