YouTuber Hank Green has revealed he’s been diagnosed with cancer. And he’s approaching it with the same frankness and optimism fans have come to expect.

But he said he will soon be starting chemotherapy treatment, which he expects to last for four months, and told fans that it’s “the most treatable” types of cancers. “It seems likely that we caught mine early. I’m still waiting on a scan to sort of confirm that,” Green said the video, which has been viewed more than 1.1 million times within six hours of his uploading it. “The goal is cure. The procedure to get there is fairly well known if unpleasant.”
