James Jordan makes heartbreaking tribute to 'hero' dad a year on from his death

James Jordan has paid a heartbreaking tribute to his beloved father Allan as he marked a year since he passed away. Former Strictly Come Dancing professional James, 43, shared a photo of his dad Allan smiling while holding his baby daughter Ella on his Twitter page to remember Allan. James then shared his heartache over the tragic loss of his father, and admitted his dad's death was "the hardest thing I've ever had to deal with".
He wrote: "Today it’s been 1 year since we lost my hero & dad - Allan Jordan. Get exclusive celebrity stories and fabulous photoshoots straight to your inbox with OK!'s daily newsletter. "The hardest thing I’ve ever had to deal with in life so far & I still have bad days as many of you I’m sure can relate to.
I think about him all the time and will miss him till the day I die. "I love you dad" followed by a red heart emoji.The professional dancer was soon flooded with messages of love and support from fans as one responded to his tweet with: "A life changing loss and one that takes a lifetime to deal with. My dad left us nearly 8 years ago and there,are still days that it is raw.There is no rule book for grief just be gentle with yourself and cherish your lovely family.x" Another added: "It’s so hard without our dads,but we have to try and live the best life and make them proud x hold on to all those precious memories x".
While a third said: "Thing of you today what a lovely picture of your dad with Ella such happy memories you will miss him forever he was proud of you always x". James' father Allan passed away last year following a battle with a brain tumour. Speaking candidly about how he struggled with his grief shortly after his dad's passing, James revealed he was in a "very dark place".
