James Jordan paid tribute to Tom Parker on Wednesday after The Wanted star tragically passed away aged 33. Tom had been bravely fighting an inoperable brain tumour since he was diagnosed with it in 2020. It comes after James' father Allan tragically passed away from a brain tumour in March 2021.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, former Strictly Come Dancing pro James posted a picture of Tom as he paid tribute. The professional dancer penned: "Just heard that Tom Parker passed away the same wicked disease that took my father. "My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
He was a very special man that I had the honour of meeting several times. Rest In Peace brother." Get exclusive celebrity stories and fabulous photoshoots straight to your inbox with OK!'s daily newsletter. James added: "My dad will be there waiting for you with a beer," with a heart emoji.
The dancer announced in March 2021 that his "hero" dad had died. His father was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour in 2020, shortly after James and his wife Ola Jordan welcomed their daughter Ella. Earlier today, on Wednesday 30 March, Tom's wife, Kelsey, took to Instagram to confirm the devastating news of her husband's death.
She announced: "It is with the heaviest of hearts that we confirm Tom passed away peacefully earlier today with all of his family by his side. "Our hearts are broken, Tom was the centre of our world and we can’t imagine life without his infectious smile and energetic presence. "We are truly thankful for the outpouring of love and support and ask that we all unite to ensure Tom’s light continues to shine for his beautiful children." Kelsey added: "Thank you to everyone who has supported in his care throughout, he fought until the very end.
