ITV This Morning fans were left raging at Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard after their interview with the grieving parents of Nuria Sajjad, who was killed when a car drove into a school in 2023.
Nuria was enjoying an end-of-term tea party at the school in Wimbledon when the tragic incident happened and had been posing for a cute snap with her mum Smera Chohan less than a minute before she and her classmate were killed, reports the Mirror.
The tragic incident left Smera with eight broken ribs, a broken shoulder and a broken pelvis, having to undergo several operations.
Nuria died in the hospital three days after the incident.
During the heartbreaking interview, Smera broke down in tears as she reminisced about her daughter and explained how she never got to bring her daughter home from what should have been a normal day at school.
Viewers at home were heartbroken watching the interview and rushed to social media to comment on the story.
"This story about Nuria Sajjad is so heartbreaking. The police know who the driver is so why was she released under investigation? It’s been 8 months since Nuria & Selena Lau were killed and the parents deserve justice," they said.
After the interview concluded, This Morning went on a break and upon it's return, Ben and Cat seemed happy as they danced when the introduction music finished playing.
Fans of the daytime TV show were shocked to see them in such high spirits after the interview with the grieving parents.
One viewer commented on X: "In such bad taste Ben and Cat #thismorning." A second fan added: "How the f**k can Ben & Cat be bouncing around smiling after that interview & not mention it been a tough interview!!" One disappointed fan added: "Coming back from the break happy as Larry."
