Love Island viewers were left scratching their heads after Toby Aromolaran said he wanted to 'lock in' his relationship with fellow islander Georgia Steel. During the Valentine's Day episode, 14 February, the boys were seen writing a sweet letter to their partners and preparing a romantic date in various sentimental parts of the villa.
Toby took Georgia to the firepit for their date as he declared it was a sentimental location in the villa.
Toby then handed Georgia a card and said: "I feel like us, the way we have been progressing in here, we have gone through so much in ways people can't imagine.
I don't think anyone in here has literally walked a night in our shoes.
The bond I feel like we have is so solid and cemented that like nothing can really knock us. "I feel like I struggle to talk about my feelings a bit, but for you I'll try my hardest".
Toby then added: "I get the vibes off you of like once you're locked-in you're kind of locked-in and I'm just telling you, because I can read you, I don't know if you can read me, but I'm locked-in".
Toby then asked Georgia if she wanted to be "locked-in", to which she replied with a wink. Viewers were left confused after the episode and expressed their thoughts on X, formally known as Twitter.
One fan said: "Watching Love Island makes me feel older than I want to sometimes.. what the hell does 'locked in' mean nowadays?! #LoveIsland #LoveIslandAllStars ", while another added: "Toby getting his final ticket in and making sure he askes Geogeria S to be his girlfriend or exclusive whatever ’locked-in’ means #LoveIslandAllStars #LoveIsland ".
